When you find something interesting, the first thing you would probably do is save it. So, the bookmark option makes these things easier for us since we can save some important web pages. Unfortunately, there are instances when we lost our bookmarks. Good thing is that we can actually import or export them as well.

Introduction to Chrome

If I tell you about Chrome, then, I would just describe it as a sphere of green, red, yellow, and blue colors.

You all may be already aware that Chrome is a web browser.

Whenever you need information about anything, you can just open chrome and type on its search bar, and all the related articles about the said topic will appear before you within a second. You are just one search away from knowing about anything and it makes things a lot easier.

Searching is even easier due to its Google voice icon. By just clicking on that mic icon and speaking about a particular thing through it, everything will appear before you.

What is Bookmark?

Chrome makes things easier as you don’t have to go to the library for more research or read more books to gain more information. You also do not need to make notes or assignments to keep this information.

As you may know, all information can probably be found on chrome because it’s a web browser. With the ease of the internet, we can save an important task as a “Bookmark” in chrome. So, let me explain to you about a bookmark in an easier way.

A bookmark is just like an extension to save a particular webpage. It can help you save time searching whenever you need to access the same webpage again because bookmarking allows you to browse the same webpage anytime.

One of the best things about the bookmark is that it does not only store the title, but the location, icon, and URL of your desire web page as well.

How to Create a Bookmark in Google Chrome?

Now that the question about creating a bookmark in Google Chrome is raised, don’t go anywhere as I will tell you how we can easily create one. Let’s get started!

To create a bookmark, you have to follow the steps that are given below;

  1. First of all, you have to visit the page or a particular website you want to bookmark. On the right top corner of the search bar, there is a star icon, you have to click on it, and voila! You have just bookmarked that page.
  2. There is another way to bookmark the page. You have to click on the three dots on the right top corner and scroll down. You will then see the bookmark option. Just click on it, and you have done your job.

In this way, you can bookmark any web page of your interest and create folders to organize your bookmarks in different categories.

Clarification About Bookmark

A bookmark can only store a particular webpage. If the webpage’s content is removed, the bookmark won’t be able to keep it as well. This is because it does not save the content of that particular website for the page.

Import and Export of Bookmark in Chrome

The best thing about chrome is that you can back up or restore its bookmark. And I’ll tell you just that!

To Import Bookmark:

  1. Click the three dots on the right top corner. Just scroll down and click right on the “Bookmark”.
  2. There is a “Bookmark Manager” option; click on it. It will lead you to the next tab where you find the three dots on the right top corner in blue color.
  3. Click on it, and you will find the “import of bookmark” option.
  4. Finally, save it on your computer.
To Export Bookmark:

  1. Click the three dots on the right top corner. Just scroll down and click right on the “Bookmark”.
  2. There is a “Bookmark Manager” option; click on it. It will lead you to the next tab where you find the three dots on the right top corner in blue color.
  3. Click on it, and you will find the “Export of bookmark” Option.

Extension for Exportation

Extensions are the best thing about chrome as it makes your work easier.

Here is one extension I would like to share with you all.

The extension will help you export your important bookmarks.

You can download it from here:

Conclusion

As I previously said, things become easier because of the internet, and we can take advantage of this blessing by bookmarking the particular web page that we like or need. On top of that, even after the loss of the bookmark, we can still restore it.
